HDMI cables

On set, one of the most annoying things are the HDMI cables. Most of our camera’s do not have SDI output so the only way to monitor in HD is using the HDMI. And if one of those cables disconnect, it might even stop your camera in the middle of a recording.

This is the quest for the perfect cable, and it started when I found these cheap nylon cables (€ 1 per meter). Then I discovered that the new apple cables look great, and searching on E-bay I found that this must be RedMere active cable technology. Here is a great article about it: Very small connectors, very small twistable cables. I think these cables can replace the rotatable swivel cables.
