Lens: Leica 1:4/21 (R-mount)

I had the opportunity to test an old 1:4 21mm lens from a friend. This was a really old 2 cam lens that has been adjusted to 3cam, and only had four aperture blades. I found that – even with the lens hood on it – it was very very easy to get lens flare or something similar. This is confirmed by a test I found here. When stopping the lens down, the photo’s show a dark spot:

Apart from the visible blades it’s a nice lens, it’s really sharp all the way:

Because of this diafragm problem I didn’t buy this lens and brought it back to the owner.
